Free Teacher, ELL Student, and Family Night
Exploring Time and Place

Date: Wednesday, March 14, 6 – 8 pm

Once a year, teachers, English language learners, and their families are invited to enjoy a special evening at the Museum with interactive writing and art activities, informal bilingual tours, refreshments, and music. This year we invite families to think about time and place inspired by Publicly Private: Enrico Natali and Doug Rickard and Pasadena to Santa Barbara: A Selected History of Art in Southern California, 1951–1969, as well as the Museum's permanent collection. How does where you are influence who you are? What can art tell us about the time when it was made, the person or people who made it, and the culture in which it was created? Teachers, students, and families discover and learn together as they observe, analyze, and discuss works of art. Participants' varied experiences enrich discussion and help the group to build from strengths.

Please contact Amanda Garcia at 805.884.6457 or agarcia@sbma.net to be added to the RSVP list. Please include your full name, school and the number of students and family members you are bringing.
